OUR TEAM
Tanya has worked in the post-secondary education sector for 15 years, specializing in elearning applications. She has experience building robust multimedia applications rooted in solid pedagogy. She remembers when if a rich-media application had an animated gif or embedded sound we were astounded. When high-fidelity graphics involved a box moving back and forth. She can’t believe that in this short amount of time that now we can build interactive and immersive worlds to transport our learners to.
"VR/AR technologies are now my passion. I have strong theoretical and developmental knowledge of VR applications made in the Unity game engine and with webVR. I have extensive user experience design skills and know the importance of iterative builds and design thinking to solve complex problems. I understand the importance of easy to use, intuitive interfaces. I believe in developing competency-based learning applications to achieve larger learning goals. I love to look at a problem logically and find the best and most effective solution." -Tanya. |
Erin works with the Learning Experience Design team at Lethbridge College where she develops curriculum and actor scenarios for cadets in the Criminal Justice program. She has moved their curriculum design to a Competency-based model and has seen vast improvement in knowledge and retention of hard-skills by cadets.
"This VR simulator will make it possible to bring lifelike scenarios into the police cadet classroom, allowing for realistic competency assessment with increased efficiency, feasibility, and safety." -Erin |
